Overview
Akagera National Park
Akagera is Rwanda’s savannah: rolling plains, lakes and papyrus swamps in the east of the country, home to lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard, as well as giraffe, zebra and hippo. Over three days, you explore the park on game drives with your private guide and cruise Lake Ihema at sunset. It’s an easy trip from Kigali and a perfect contrast to the forests.
